Looking to Volunteer as Event Support for the Utah MLK Day Celebration?

Thank you for your interest in volunteering. If you’re here to support the Utah Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration, please use the options below to sign up for event support roles specific to the Utah MLK Day Celebration in Downtown Salt Lake City. These opportunities focus on event logistics, hospitality, and general support throughout the day.

Looking to Participate in an MLK Day Community Service Project?

If you’re interested in serving through one of our MLK Day community service projects, we invite you to participate in ways that best fit your availability.

This year’s primary MLK Day service project focuses on assembling winter care packages for members of Utah’s unhoused community. Community members are welcome to join us in person at the Regent Street Black Box at Eccles Theater on MLK Day beginning at 1:00 PM to help assemble care packages.

If you’re unable to attend in downtown Salt Lake City, you can still participate by:

  • Donating items or funds toward the care packages

  • Serving at one of our satellite service opportunities hosted by community partners across Utah

More details about MLK Day service projects, donation options, and partner opportunities can be found on the MLK Day page.

Collective Action, Shared Impact

Beloved Community volunteers support a wide range of activities, including community celebrations, service projects, entrepreneurship events, outreach, and administrative support. Opportunities vary throughout the year, and we welcome individuals, families, students, and community groups.

Whether you’re able to give a few hours at an event or support ongoing initiatives behind the scenes, your time, skills, and energy help strengthen our collective impact.
